Privacy Awareness Week

Privacy Awareness Week 2010 events are being held across Canada

Privacy Awareness Week is an annual promotional campaign first initiated by Privacy Victoria (Australia) in 2001.

Privacy Awareness Week went international for the first time in 2007 and CAPAPA actively supports the theme Privacy: It's In Your Hands.

The week is an opportunity for organizations and agencies covered by privacy legislation to promote privacy awareness to their staff, customers, and to the wider community.

Know your Rights and Obligations Canadian organizations, governments, and government agencies are bound by a variety of wide-reaching privacy laws.As consumers, each of us is responsible to understand what our rights and responsibilities are under those laws.
