The maturation of Canada's Access and Privacy Profession has warranted a substantive professional designation that inspires vision, credibility, and strategic insight as we encounter an increasingly complex landscape. Enter the new CAPAPA professional Certification Program: launched in June 2009, this program is tailored to the needs of our profession and sets the standard of excellence for our profession. And it’s built on more than five years of work by an industry Working Group, academics from leading Canadian post-secondaries, and industry subject-matter experts from the public and the private sectors across Canada. In today’s competitive workplace, being certified is just the edge you need to gain a career advantage. An “AAPP,” “CIAPP” or “CAPP” after your name tells prospective clients and employers that you possess the comprehensive skills, knowledge, and experience to help guide our industry and your organization. During the grandfathering period, applicants can claim their work experience towards the education requirement. This allows people with a lot of experience to apply even if they haven't taken any courses -- which is the situation for many members of the Access and Privacy community today. CAPAPA's Professional Certification Program is the most reliable way to recognize -- and demonstrate -- your competence, knowledge, experience, and education. And it provides an extra edge for those already succeeding in Canada's Privacy and Access profession. CAPAPA provides the only Professional Certification developed for Access and Privacy Professionals in Canada by Canadian Access and Privacy Professionals |
