CAPAPA is the only national Canadian association dedicated to the Access and Privacy Community in both the private and public sectors, and the only one that offers such a broad body of resources, knowledge and experts relevant to Canada's access and privacy professionals. Our members are in the public sector and the private sector. The range of experience is a broad spectrum: from practitioners just starting out in their careers who seek better opportunities, to those with established careers seeking greater advancement and professional recognition. CAPAPA offers both individual memberships and corporate memberships. Becoming a CAPAPA member and seeking a CAPAPA Professional Certification designation is the logical next step for anyone in the field of information access and privacy regardless of their career progression. Terms and Conditions of CAPAPA Membership Membership with The Canadian Association of Professional Access and Privacy Administrators is open to those persons or institutions engaged or interested in the fields of information access and protection of privacy, those who manifest an interest in activities related to or affecting information access and protection of privacy, and those sympathetic to the aims of CAPAPA who wish to further its work. Note: Completing a CAPAPA-accredited education program is not a prerequisite for membership in the CAPAPA. CAPAPA recognizes that: * Information Access and Protection of Privacy are fundamental global issues for organizations in both the private and public sectors. * Stakeholders and legal requirements demand the highest standards, competence and skill. Members must sign and adhere to the Code of Conduct for CAPAPA members. Members must pay the membership fees determined by the Board of Directors of CAPAPA. * Membership fees are in Canadian dollars.
